What do you guys think Dak will put up in the 1st three games? These games will get him in the early heisman discussion. I look for over a 1000 yards passing and about 250 rushing. 10 passing td's and 4 rushing.

I don't doubt that he could get there, but I highly doubt it actually happens. I dont think he will play much more than a half against both Southern and NW State. Im going to say he will have about 800 passing 200 rushing by the end of game 3. I truly hope hes not getting many carries against USM and NW St.

USM
Pass: 300 (plays 2 series in 3rd quarter), 3 TDS
Rush: 50, 1 TD

LSU
Pass: 350 (plays well into 4th quarter if not whole game), 3 TDS
Rush: 100, 2 TDS

Northwestern
Pass: 350, 3 TDS
Rush: 75, 1 TD
Receiving: 25, 1 TD

Granted, a lot of those rush TDs may be replaced by the running backs. Especially in the USM and northwestern games

Does the possible suspension of Bear have any effect on the numbers? Or will it matter vs Miss Southern?

Bear out for USM just means Ross, Morrow, and someone else will probably get around 100. Maybe Myles or Gray come out big.

IMO, if Dak plays more than 2 quarters each against USM and Northwestern, then we have other problems. He'll go the whole game against LSU, but I can't see him having 1000 yards by the end of game 3.

I'd expect we come out very vanilla against USM, and use the run game, not the passing game, the majority of the time. The shackles come off against the Tie-gahs, but they go back on for Northwestern.

LSU - 400 plus yards combined. three or four TDs combined.

USM - Much less.

NWSt - much less.

so maybe 900 yards his first few games? I think he's going to have a lot more passing tds. I think Our wrs will take a lot of passes to the house against USM and NWst and not leave him much time to boost his rushing stats.

I think he'll play most of the Southern Miss game. He needs to get into a groove going into the LSU game. Obviously if we go up something like 56-0 by halftime, he probably won't come out for the second half. But I think he'll play at least 8 series in that game either way.

I agree that he'll probably play less against NW St., but it will likely still be a half and a huge one at that.

If I had to predict, I'd say something like 350 total yards against USM and 5 TDs; 350 total yards against LSU and 4 TDs; and 300 total yards against NW St and 4-5 TDs. That would put him right at about 1000 total yards and 13-14 TDs.

Dak only had 300 yards passing twice last season and once we were getting plastered by Georgia Tech so we had no other choice. Would be quite a jump in overall stats if he comes out the gates like that, but I'm thinking he puts up similar overall numbers to last season.

Meh, Mullen will probably give Dak the first drive of the second half. That's been the pretty standard MO for us in the OOC cupcake games. Or he may leave Dak in an extra drive or two to help pad his stats for the Heisman race. I'm not really worried about it. I'm more interested in how our OL and S perform.

Southern will be improved from last year. Dakota will play 3 full quarters most likely. Cant see him play much at all in the 2nd vs NW State

Somebody told me they heard Wyatt on H2H say that Southern had like 20 5th yr. seniors transfer in for this year. Did anyone else hear this? That sounds crazy.
