Didn't see anything posted about this, and find that surprising.

From ESPN article:

Domond was charged with felony domestic abuse battery with strangulation on May 25 following an altercation with his fiancee in which she accused him of several violent acts. Among the allegations included in the police report:

1. That during an argument, the fiancee was leaning over their newborn baby's crib and Domond grabbed her from behind by the neck, lifted her off the ground and caused her to begin losing consciousness. The baby was allegedly present during the altercation.

2. That as the argument progressed, Domond would not allow her to leave the home although she asked several times.

3. That after she shot him with pepper spray, Domond slammed her on the sofa and bit her on the left hip before she sprayed him again.

The arrest report states that she then left the residence and drove to a sheriff's office substation with a friend who saw the event. She said Domond followed them in his car but did not turn into the substation parking lot. The witness confirmed the story, according to the report, and officers "observed injuries on the victim consistent with her story."

At the time of his arrest, Domond told police that he and his fiancee "got into it" but denied strangling or biting her. He told the officers that he picked up his fiancee while being pepper sprayed to get her to stop and that the injury on her hip was from the fall and not from him biting her.

Domond accused his fiancee of pulling a kitchen knife on him earlier in the day and threatening to cut him, but she said that was an act of self-defense after he had pushed her before the incident.

Latest news is the he is attempting to enter a pretrial diversion program. Seems to me that's admitting guilt and trying to avoid serious jail time.

How in the hell does Miles get away with this? He's not even waiting on the state prosecutor to make a decision. I can't imagine the SEC is happy with this, much less a huge chunk of the LSU fanbase.

Talk about a, "black eye" for the program! This is, IMO, nauseating.

They've already put a rule in place for transfer players with a history of violence, so I'm interested to see how the SEC handles this going forward.

wreaks of desperation. The Hatter is on the hot seat and he knows it. He's going to pull out all the stops this year.

Give Miles a break. What's he supposed to do, cut him loose and let Ole Miss have him?******

Did Miles release a statement saying he was proud of him defending the baby from the mother? Has to be something right?**

Hell If Charles Manson could run a 4.3 40 and could get out of jail Miles would sign him tomorrow.

Not that Miles' past actions give him much credibility, but domestic violence issues are usually messy and it's incredibly difficult to sort out. This one looks bad b/c there is apparently a corroborating witness, but the fact that the fiance pulled a knife on him earlier in the day but then stayed in the house with the baby seems to indicate that at the very least, there is some mutual dysfunction going on there.

Miles is a win at all costs coach. There are several just like him currently coaching and retired. Bobby Bowden comes to mind as being the same way. There's also a certain coach from a SEC school also located in MS whose coach seems to actively look for players with a history of trouble that have been kicked off other teams. They know that the fan base will overlook anything if the W's keep piling up. The coaches and fans that condone that behavior show that they are not the least bit concerned with the players as people. They are only concerned with them as a tool to give them something to brag about in the case of the fans and as a source of job security and a big payday in te case of the coaches. No more. No less. They may try to sugar coat it and wrap it up in a big pretty bow and say they are trying to help the players and that mistakes of the past shouldn't haunt them forever, but all they are doing is trying to validate their selfishness over their own concerns.

Miles should be ashamed of himself. Sickening. Sadly I'm not surprised coming from that bunch in Baton Rouge.

This all day long. I love it.

This is the result of FEAR and DESPERATION. If LSU is dlong stiff like this I think it bodes well for us.
