There will never be another broadcasting crew that provided the entertainment value that Gifford, Cosell and Meredith did back in the day. Hate to hear of Gifford's passing, did not even realize he was in poor health.

Hell, I had no idea he was 84.

That's because Kathy Lee is about 20 years younger.

Yeah they were very entertaining. Dandy Don and Cosell jousting with each other and Frank trying to keep things on track.

Dandy Don is probably welcoming Frank to the big broadcast booth in the sky singing "Turn out the lights, the party's over."

A part of my childhood is gone now. I remember Monday Night Football with Dandy Don, Frank, and Howard.

Chuck Bednarik almost killed Him. He had to lay out a year.

Chuck Bednarik almost killed Him. He had to lay out a year.

The photo that is always shown of that play is Bednarik standing over him with the fist pump, but as soon as it registered with him that Gifford was seriously hurt, he was down on his hands and knees trying to help him. CB was a mega bad ass but a true sportsman as well.
