Isn't Chris White one of the leaders on special teams and Skinner started some games for the Patriots.

I think Skinner got cut right after they drafted Cheetah. Not sure if he's been picked up or not.

I think calling us Linebacker U is premature at this point. Right now we have great depth and talent at the linebacker position but it's not like we have a ton of guys tearing it up in the NFL or drafted highly at the position.
During Mullen's tenure, we've had 8 players drafted in the first 100 picks:

Preston Smith DL
Bernardrick McKinney LB
Gabe Jackson OL
Darius Slay DB
Fletcher Cox DL
Derrick Sherrod OL
K.J. Wright LB

That's 2 DL, 2 LB, 2 OL and 2 DB. Pretty evenly distributed, if you ask me.

Regardless of draft position, we've had 4 DL, 4 LB, 3 RB, 3 DB, 2 OL and 1 TE drafted.

Over the past 5 years, we have had 3 LB's drafted in the 3rd, 2nd and 6th rounds.

Alabama has had 5 drafted (Rounds 2, 1, 4, 1, 7)
LSU has had 4 drafted (Rounds 3, 2, 5, 4)
Florida has had 5 drafted (Rounds 4, 2, 5, 5, 1)
Georgia has had 6 drafted (Rounds 3, 6, 1, 1, 6, 4)

So if you are legitimately asking a question, the answer is no.

We've had a ton of great LBs that I can remember starting in the early 90s. LB & RB are literally the only two positions I never worry about having great players at MSU. We produce both by the truckload. Players who make it to the NFL is just a bonus.

Not a troll. The topic was jokingly thrown out there but there have been a nice stretch of LBs to come through Starkville. NFL production shouldn't be the only factor when determining if a school has the best at a unit. No hard feelings though.
