I think if you use a word like pedantic and use it incorrectly, it should be a bannable offense. Not an IP ban or anything, but at least have to go through the trouble of setting up a new user name.

No, when you use a word so obscure most have to look it up to see what it even means - only to find out it wasn't even used correctly to begin with? Nah, that's lifetime ban-worthy there. That takes douchiness to an unparalleled level.
