a roll but in his last two starts he's given up 10 earned runs in his last 13 innings pitched, including 3 homers and 6 ER night before last to Toronto. His ERA has gone from 3.16 to 3.78 after those two games. Maybe he can settle back down and get in that groove again.

Mitch Moreland was hot in the month of June but cooled off in July but he did hit 2 HR's in the last game before the all star break. He's currently hitting .286 with 16 dingers and 49 RBI's. I'd sure like to see Mitch hit 30 HR's and drive in 100 runs. The HR's might happen but the RBI's will be tough.

"Rocked" isn't quite the appropriate term for what happened in his last start before the break. He went 5.2 giving up one run, but the pen let him down after failing to get one out with the bases loaded. All three runs scored and were charged to Graveman.

But yes, Toronto absolutely rocked him- as they have many pitchers this season. Not many people are talking about it, but Toronto has a chance to go down as one of the historically great offenses in the history of baseball this season. They are scoring .7 more runs per game than the second best offense in MLB.

similar to his early career at MSU. Really good at times and really bad at times.

With a K::BB rate of 5.63::3.07 per 9 IP, it's going to be tough for him to keep the era under 4.00 IMO without a lot of luck. Even with his 2 rough starts, he era is almost a run below his FIP and a half run below his xFIP. He either needs to increase the Ks and decrease the BBs, or become elite in limiting hard contact and line drive rates (he's pretty avg in both among SPs with 80+ IP this season) in order to have a long and fruitful career.

Mitch hasn't gotten the RBI opportunities playing for the Rangers this season.

i think it's more missing the first 3 weeks or so of the season that hurt his RBI pace more than anything.
