It seems they will be immediately eligible for bowl and CUSA championship play though not set in stone if they will try to play a full conference slate right away. They might should take "warm up" year first unless NCAA is gonna let them sign more than 25 per year which I don't think will happen.

It's good to see them back, and it was a shame what Alabama tried to do to them.

Good for them. It was extremely shitty how Bama's board and UAB's President did that team. They should get to wear a patch on their jersey or sticker on the helmet of a middle finger with Paul Bryant Jr.'s name under it.

I'm afraid Alabama partially succeeded; I'm sure they still consider it a victory that they stunted and set back their growth (even though the idea that UAB is any kind of threat to them, recruiting-wise or financially, is completely ludicrous). Even if they can field a full 2-deep in 2017, I'd think absolute best case it'll take them 5-6 years to get back to where they were in 2014. It's going to be very, very difficult for them to recruit for the foreseeable future, even on the CUSA level.

Alabama essentially dealt UAB the death penalty. UAB will struggle for many years.

No doubt. The damage has been done.
