View Full Version : The Cult of Ole Miss

We all know Freeze fears for the souls of recruits that come to MSU.

We've seen video of Freeze in the locker room implying success in Ole Miss football is the same as building God's kingdom. Also locker room video of praying "May God bless the Ole Miss rebels".

Freeze regularly talks up his players with the vocal cadence and mannerisms of a southern preacher. Mix in Bible verses and even speak in King James style English. He clearly tries to stir up religious emotions and steer them into Ole Miss.

I say all that just to set the table for this...

Today, I ran across this in social media. This is not a photoshop and it is sick. I'd even call it blasphemous, literally.

Ole Miss folks take Freeze's act way too far. And I hope one day it really comes to roost.

BTW, Luke 5:32 - "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance".

That is very sacreligious. But it does not surprise me in the least. They really are egotistical and self righteous enough to say stuff like that and not see anything wrong with it. I'm sure they more than half expect to see Moses in the grove gamedays.

Ezekiel 20:29

"Then I said to them, 'What is the high place to which you go?' So its name is called Bama to this day."

Northern Mississippi strikes again.

Northern Mississippi Bible College.

Hopefully after the NCAA gets done with them they'll have to claim that their "real rivals" are Mississippi College and Blue Mountain.

They should have Joel Osteen fire up the locker room before a game. He can tell them to keep a positive attitude and a big grin so that the cash will flow like the Red Sea on the Egyptian Chariots. Freeze, when he accepted the job, promised that they would cross the River Jordan.

Not sure why we would question their divine right to win the SEC this year. Other than the fact that Jackie still loves us and he is actually Satan dressed up as a clown and entertaining kids at a children's hospital while neglecting to call the press.

I'm almost speechless. W...T...F? Lemme try though.....Weird? Lunacy?......I'm just...there is something seriously wrong with them.

There's a good Jesus and Civil War joke in there somewhere.

If that is legit then it confirms everything I have ever thought about Freeze. Horrible that is, if legit.

Sickening.

Very little new with this. If you are old enough to have been at the game or are aware of the outcome, look back on the windblown Artie Cosby field goal attempt against Northern Ms. According to many of their fans this was God's will. I even heard this opinion in my local southern Baptist Church from my fellow UM members. Some even think God loves them more than us. God loves all and wants all to be saved. I don't believe he takes sides in football and the team with the most and best Christians wins. If he did, I would think that Liberty U would win many national titles.

Exactly. This is why no matter how passionate I get, I can't ever bring myself to pray to win a game. I just can't. I imagine it usually doesn't matter to Him unless somehow or other (butterfly effect sort of thing) it leads to somebody's salvation. I DO ASK that no one gets injured... on either team.

Every night I pray that my family will be safe, healthy and happy. I guess that includes beating Ole Miss, as it sure would make them happy.

Apparently a company makes these for lots of NCAA teams. Jesus is also a Volunteer, A Buckeye, A (Nittany) Lion, My Anchor (Vandy), and Bled Crimson. Ours is "Hail the Power: Jeremiah 10:6".

It must get real confusing upstairs when Bama/UT play. And Vandy? I guess he's a baseball fan too.
