I like him. Have we offered?

Steve discussed him on the Boneyard. Said he doesn't know if he gets an offer, but in his (Steve) opinion, he's a guy you have to try and make room for. Said if you had a full class he'd certainly make it in but receiver slots are tight.

Looks like a playa. Were some of those highlights filmed at M M Roberts Stadium at USM? I counted only 10 fans in the stands.

He reminds me of a RB like a Brandon Holloway than he does a slot WR. If we're going to take a running back, and I know that's not a certainty or even likely, he's maybe the kind of RB we should take since it's not an area of need for us and he's different than a Nick Gibson or Alec Murphy. I think he would help us out more as a KR guy than anything if we took him.

If he goes on scholarship for any other sport but decides to play football also, he counts against the 85 scholarship limit for football. That is a long time NCAA rule that's been on the books since Alabama (and others) would give swimming scholarships to 6'5" 275 lb guys that just so happened to later "walk-on" to the football team.

Too bad. Still sounds like he could run some track if he wanted.

He won't get an offer.

He already has an offer. As soon as he ran that 40, Dan went over & talked to him & told him he had an offer for him.

I mean good grief, that's world class speed. I know it was hand timed and not electronically timed but that's blazing fast.

We didn't offer a legacy, Stephen Johnson III, a DB/Dual-threat QB in HS. I know his father. Kid actually ran a 4.2, and his dad had him ready to sign with MSU, but we didn't offer. Had 14 offers, including 10 from P5 teams. He wound up signing with UCLA.

I may turn out to be wrong I've gotten different stories from different people. I've gotten a he's down the line & a backup plan but I've also gotten he's a take today. Personally I don't see the need considering we just 2 guys who are exactly the same as him in Nero & Korey but hey what do I know.

I thought Dan offered him. Either 2ay, we've never seen speed like we're about to have on the team. I can't wait to see what Mixon can do.

Irish Green jersey and gold helmets .. wonder 'where' they got that idea.

And, players either 'love' the Irish or 'hate' them .. there is no middle ground. Kid has some moves .. coupled with speed and hope we have a spot.

What's up with Caleb Tillman? Saw where he was crystal balled other places today. He's still on our commit list (247), but if you go to his profile it doesn't say he's committed...

This kid is too good to pass up. You find a position for him to play. He's got speed, instincts, athleticism, and plays hard. Sign him up!!!

He won't be in the class. You can call it a mutual breakup.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but Paul said this morning that Hankerson is AJ Brown's cousin.

On an tangent, I'm always amazed at how may of these kids are related & how often this happens in Mississippi.

He lived in Starkville up until last year & he's been in Starkville all summer with relatives. He's only stayed in Indiana for a year.

He didn't commit that day cause he & his parents were trying to let it all sink in first & think it through before jumping on board...I guess kind of like Scott Lashley should have done. Ha. Lashley's mom wants him to experience it all but he'll be a Dawg in the end.
