Did this thread last year on SPS, but I don't post there anymore becasue it is eggbowl.com 2.0. Somehow it ended up over here so doing again this year.

What was the best play across all sports last year?

My vote goes to Dak's 56 yard TD run versus LSU.

Auburn's opening offensive play at Scott Field.

Bonus: Auburn's second offensive play!

Not just one play but the goal line stand at LSU

I'd go with the Dak TD run against LSU.
Honorable Mention:
-Josh's pinball run against Kentucky.
-1st TD against Auburn when Bear wouldn't be denied.
-Wells tracking down the Arky RB at the end of the 3rd to prevent them from taking the lead

Dak's TD run against LSU was an announcement to the nation that we were going to compete for the West and vaulted him into the Heisman talk. It's my unbiased #2 for the year.

All of the above are good answers, Dak's run against LSU was probably the defining play of the year.
But to add to conversation, J-Rob's Maddenesque run against KY was pretty damn awesome

Dak's TD run for LSU… His coming out party, and a MASSIVE answer to the fumble return for a TD that LSU had coming out of the half. If we go three and out there, with that crowd on a Saturday night, who knows what happens.

Morgan William driving full court, stopping on a dime, & hitting the buzzer beater vs UMiss was prolly my favorite non-FB play

Thanks for bringing that up. I was trying hard to come up with something non-football and really nothing stood out. That one was really special because eff ole miss. Reminds me of Derrick Zimmerman going coast to coast at the Tad Pad in '03- one of my favorite plays of all time.

Addidas grabbing a 3 iron and hitting it stiff to put howland in starkville.

Otherwise Dak's run.

I loved christian holmes kickoff return vs uk

And morgan broke more ankles this year with her crossover than you can possibly count. If u have yhe opportunity to see our girls play basketball this coming season and chose not to you dont understand what great basketball is.

Beat me to it. I was hoping no one had mentioned it.

I'd actually flip them, though. That first TO was exciting, but the second one was when I turned to those around me and said "We're winning this. Auburn must have shit out that golden horseshoe they'd been hiding for so long."
