Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit AJ is so good against the run
Benni was such a leader last year
Interesting seeing McKinney being taken out so much for Richie on 3rd downs

The front 7 had a hell of a game against a damn good offensive line. Holding that team to below 200 rushing yards was impressive.

This was the game we finally started replacing Tubby with Ross

I'm not watching so I don't know where it is in the game but Matt Wells running that guy down at the end of the 3rd was huge.

May have been Wells best game

..... and the save at the end by Redmond. Too bad we won't be good this year at CB because he didn't "start" last year.

The atmosphere of this game was dead until they played don't stop believing before the 4th. After that the crowd woke up.

I hope Trey Flowers from Arkansas is gone. That SOB was freaking good.

That's the first time in a long long time I can remember a MSU team playing so poorly on one side of the ball and beating a good team.

So are Speight, Philon, and a CB all 3 drafted . Not sure who were Sr's and not drafted.
They lost a lot on defense..

It's why I'm picking them last in the west. As well as returning the most mediocre qb in the history of football. But he is experienced*

Clock management on our last drive was awful.

Game could've been under a minute when we punted.

Jamoral killed us for the last time on a punt in this game If he ever caught it, he did good on the actual return. But he never caught it. Ever

That's why you don't have true freshmen returning punts. Mullen knows better and should have never done it

One of our assistant coaches told me that he and a couple of other assistants approached Mullen about Graham returning punts and Mullen wouldn't do it but they stayed on him and talked him into it. He also said that when Graham dropped punts that Mullen had a few choice words for them. I don't know if this is true but it is what I was told. It doesn't absolve Mullen from the decision but at least it wasn't just some hair brained idea of his.

I had forgotten about the 3 lucky ass catches on that last drive by UPig. I remember thinking that the odds were against us after that last Henry catch. Whew.

I think it was the cold temps that game ... It took good ole Jim Beam in the 4th qtr to wake ME up

Yeah, I know. I was always so surprised that Mullen put a freshman returning punts when he was careful playing freshman anywhere and I just enjoyed the insight into the decision. It was Hughes that said he pushed hard for Graham.

Well it's the old "talent vs experience" struggle. You want to put him out there because of the talent- but you have to use your head and realize that very few true freshman can handle the pressure of it. Practice just can't simulate the game experience with the crowd factor

Fireball shots pre-game for me. Hell I dont remember much of anything til damn near end of the game when it wore off! Probably a good thing.
