Reed Smith - New baseball commit

#1 shortstop in Alabama just committed. Anybody know much about him...

He's a 6'0 180 pound MIF from Russellville, Al. I can't find any stats, but he was the MVP of the 5A Championship series in Alabama and he was second team All-State as a junior.

Here's an article with some stats in it. He plays for the East Cobb Astros and hit .490 last year and 5 HR's for his HS team. Also stole 22 bases.

We don't need a super star at short just steady, and we need HS guys to break the JC cycle. With him then the 2018 SS from Mobile we are looking great for a few years.

Yea, kind of thinking Malik did it on purpose to throw everybody off but who knows. Given his Dad played at the school I have to think he knew what the correct name of the school was. Now with guys from AL with no connection to the school I wouldn't expect as much.
