In light of speckle dinner last night....I had about $20 worth of Taco Bell. Drunk of course from a few whiskeys in the late afternoon.

Tonite a little different..down home sausage for an app....baked potato...grass fed filets with bearnaise for one and a balsamic fig Vidalia onion reduction for the other. Just to dip of course

I'm about to hit the marshes on the Little Satilla - hopefully the Reds will out.

It was hot as hell this morning, not much was biting. Landed 3-4 whiting and a bunch of small bonnet heads. But, any day fishing is better than not fishing. Best thing about living at the coast is if the fish aren't biting and you pack it in early, you don't feel like you have wasted a bunch of time and money - cause we can go again tomorrow....

This one was the highlight of the trip. He was about 4 feet. My Dad was rigging my daughters line and I grabbed his pole as the shark was pulling it out of the boat.

That's awesome, BrunswickDawg. I was stationed in Savannah (HAAF) ~20 years ago. Loved the area, and I miss those marshes. Growing up in Coastal MS, Sapper and I caught quite a few Sand Sharks off of Horn Island back in the day...tasty critters. What did y'all do with the HammerHead?

At any rate, I smoked a turkey breast. Pic sucks, but it's very moist and I'll have some fine-ass sandwiches all week. I stuffed the cavity with Jalapenos and Red Onion. I was about to throw them out, so why not. I can't tell if they imparted any flavor or not.

JB - we released the shark, just didn't feel like dealing with that today. If we get a big black tip we normally keep those and cut them up into steaks. I haven't done much fishing on the MS coast. The challenge here are the tides because they move so much. My Dad likes to stay more inland, but I like to get out in the sounds or in the ICW because of the bigger variety of things to chase.
