Perhaps another example of how the rigors of pro football combined with world-class partying can lead to a candle burning out quickly.
He played hard and partied hard.

I enjoyed watching him play. Time sure flies........he was 69.

Snake was as cool as the other side of the pillow.

69 is not checking out early- and in his case- kind of fitting
it's a sad day in Tuskville.... all you cats are straight up correct.... The Snake put the "K" in "cat"....
if ya dig.... I picked it up this morning... hoped it wasn't true...
He was the quintessential party guy... and a selfish rat bastard, too...
I thought he and Eli were the best combo I've heard...

Best line I ever heard from Snake...after a loss Eli Gold was pontificating and towing the company line on what ifs and bad calls and winning out from there. After he was done Snake calmly said "Eli, I saw nothing on the field today that would indicate we are a good football team." Classic Snake.

Snake was the last big time QB to come out of Alabama. Hasn't been one since.....

Both true and puzzling.

I agree, Tusk.....with all the success Bama has had it is truly puzzling.
