Someone said on 24/7 that he resigned from his HS position because we are bout to hire him. Anyone know anything?

That may make sense. It wouldn't shock me to see Rocky take a little time off this season so Sleepy could be taking over his role some of the time.

I heard about this last week but it sounded like it was a "down the road" type of thing. I'd love to see it happen. Sleepy would do well in that role for us

ETA- this sounds like a Jackie Wayne recommendation...which of course, is a good thing

Thanks for the info. Mullen has obviously started listening more to Jackie Wayne lately- the juco recruiting has picked up and now possibly hiring Sleepy...it's easy to see the influence

Would LOVE to see us bring on Sleepy in any capacity. But I'd kill for him to be a dedicated QB coach so we could move Sallach off the field again.

Can Sleepy coach QB? I know he's not "supposed to" and we have Bracky but still.... you know- hang out with Tyler and Dak and eat some bar-b-que and throw the pigskin around a little bit....

I don't see how Bracky could stop that, but if there's a way, I'm sure that rat bastard would find it.

My point was why not just do a coaching swap the way we were with Brewster & Sallach before Brewster ran off like a jr high girl? Announce Sallach moving to administrative duties and Sleepy as an on-field coach. We upgrade the staff on- and off-field with that move.

that's sort of what Rocky was doing. Meeting all the visitors at the gate during games, etc..
