Why is this news? Was there supposed to be no attrition in his first season? Sounds like a butthurt senior lost his spot but still gets a scholarship.

Saban caught a lot of flak (over Med Schollies) a few years back... but I'm with you, '61... sounds like a good deal, to me...

Harbaugh at San Diego...
1st year = 7-4
2nd year = 11-1
3rd year = 11-1
Harbaugh at Stanford...
(Keep in mind Stanford was 1-11 year before harbaugh)
1st year = 4-8
2nd year = 5-7
3rd year = 8-5
4th year = 12-1 (won orange bowl)
I wouldn't question harbaugh's process. The guy knows how to coach football

I think Harbaugh's problem in this case is that Michigan gives four years schollys so he cannot process them involuntarily.
Well I know that EVERYONE ( from secretaries to managers ) that are still with San Fran are all ecstatic he is gone...

College and NFL are two completely different gigs.
That makes Pete Carrol that much more impressive.

Let's see how happy the fans are after a couple years.
All time nfl coaches winning %'s...
1. Lombardi -- .740
2. Madden -- .731
3. George Allen -- .684
Harbaugh is 44-19 (.695). I realize harbaugh only coached 4 years, but that's a very impressive start.
Wanna know who else is estatic that harbaugh is gone? Seahawks, cardinals, Rams, and every other nfc team

Harbaugh's last year in college was a 12-1 orange bowl winning year

Im just goin by what I have been told ..
And it's a little strange to me that if someone was as successful as Harbag was on the NFL level that he didn't stay in the league and get a job with another team.. There were numerous openings and a few with very good teams... (Denver, Atl)

I wasn't doubting you. I've heard the 49ers wanted rid of harbaugh. I just think they'll regret it

My best guess is that Harbaugh is god at Michigan and that's what he needs. He's an egomaniac that must run every detail hence why the secretaries in SF hated him.
