I find it real interesting no team is set at 10 wins

I think taking us at 7 Ws is a near guaranteed push at worst.

No team returning a player that received votes in the Heisman has had less than 7 wins, and that was an outlier. Most of them bottom out at 9 wins.

Interesting not only that we are at 7, but the payout is skewed that the under is the heavy bet. You have to put down $145 on the Under 7 to win $100. That would mean that if you bet the Over 7, you'd probably win $135 for every $100 bet.

This is a bet the farm situation if there's ever been one...

That 1/5 point on Ole MIss is going to cost someone some money..I like our 7 and would go over. I would also take the over on KY and Fl. You should set up a bet for those on you bet your ass off.

Wrong Forum, Should all be in YBYA.

It can still make for a good discussion.

Vegas sets these on public perception and not their realistic predictions. Funny that in January they had us with the 12th best odds to win the national championship and now in June, although nothing has changed in reality, they have us at 11th in the SEC. Vegas knows nothing has changed except our public perception, so they adjusted accordingly.

Maybe its as simple as following history. So far Mullen teams have never won more than 6 regular season games in an odd year (2009, 5-7) (2011, 6-6) (2013, 6-6), so maybe they just assume histroy will repeat itself. Only logic I can come up with on the unified low expectations on MSU for this season even after having a "breakthrough" year last year and an All-SEC QB returning.

Agreed, with all the poor mouthing we are currently receiving, Vegas may be lucky to get any non-MSU fan to bet on us winning more than 7.

What's more tempting? Ole Miss under or State over?

State seems like as close as you can get to a guaranteed push. Barring serious injury problems, it just seems unlikely we'll go worse than three and five in conference.

But 5 wins in the SEC West just seems like a big pull for a team with a major change at QB, even if they have a good defense and you basically spot them a win for vanderbuilt.

No way in hell we win less than 7 games- absolutely no way.

Nope. YBYA is for board bets....

I haven't done any season long bets because thats a long time to tie up your vCash.

I dont see us winning less than 8. I see 8 as our floor. But think we'll come out better.

I bet (pun intended) that they raise us to 7.5 before it's over. If you want it at 7, it's not going lower.

State over, in my opinion.

State over 7 is more tempting. As others have said, we should be a push at 7 at WORST unless there are some major injuries. For OM, for all the grief we give them they are set on defense and have a nice receiving corps. Therefore, if Kelly or whoever ends up being pretty good out of the gate, its reasonable they could get to 9 or even 10 since they have one gimme in the SEC and assuming they stay reasonably healthy along the OL. In fact their Memphis game OOC is a much bigger challenge than Vandy will be.

It's a joke.

Nothing joking about Vegas...
We all firmly believe we will win more 7 games this year. But it's still a calculated gamble for a bet that won't have a result for 6 months.

And I would (most likely will if I can still get it at 7 in a week) but I wouldn't touch UM..way too many unknowns as much as we despise them.

Please give me the under on TAMU. A million dollars or so.

After that, I'd take the over on MSU.

Third choice is harder... maybe UPig

....they really are dirty to take peoples' money betting over on TAMU like that

What ya think?

Alabama 9.5 (-135o)
Georgia 9 (-125o)
Ole Miss 8.5
Auburn 8.5 (-130o)
LSU 8.5 (-130o)
Arkansas 8 (-140u)
Tennessee 8 (-160u)
Texas A&M 8 (-120u)
Missouri 7.5 (-135o)
Florida 7 (-130o)
Mississippi State 7 (-145u)
South Carolina 6.5 (-155o)
Kentucky 5.5 (-130o)
Vanderbilt 3.5 (-135u)

That's regular-season only, right? I'm not as confident as many of y'all that we absolutely will win more than 8 in the regular season. Still, we should be able win at least 7, and that's a push.

Oh for 17 sake, me saying that coach put the Vegas odds in the wrong forum was a joke. The intent was that I wanted to bet vcash on the posted odds.

There. Is that clear enough.

Nope get your head out of your ass and reply correctly and maybe people would follow who you are talking to.
I'll post some odds closer to the start of the season.

Thanks for the tip though.

I'll add a flashing JOKE next to it in the future.

Yeah it does make for good discussion.

I don't have all the schedules in front of me, but going on gut feel, I like:

Under Ole Miss 8.5
Under LSU 8.5 (-130o)
Under Texas A&M 8 (-120u)
Over Missouri 7.5 (-135o)
Over Mississippi State 7 (-145u)

Be interesting to see how much these move as the season gets closer...

I can't buy SC over with those odds. Mizzou, maybe. Don't even hedge, put it all on the best bet - MSU.

I dont think you will find it on the boards out there. I know it can be found online. just checked 5dimes. MSU over 7 -115 is what it is right now.
