Punt returner

Who would you like to see returning punts? I can't remember the last time we had someone back there that didn't make me hold my breath everytime we fielded a punt (Pegues, maybe?).

Who's our go-to guy this year?

Fred did a really nice job last year & is sure handed.

IMO, your punt returner should mesh with the overall strengths of your team. If you have trouble moving the football, AKA LSU, then you should put the most athletic, biggest play maker back there that you can, in hopes that he can score points for you. However, if you have one of the top 1 to 2 offenses in the SEC, then the number 1 goal should just be to gain possession of the ball however you can get it because that likely leads to points. Under those circumstances, you put someone back there that is sure handed.

I would be fine with Ross being the primary guy.

I would however, make sure that Redmond could do it on the off chance that a team gets cute and runs the punter out there quickly or they quick kick it so that we don't have to waste a timeout or go full Leon Lett out there.
