This is definitely a Bovine Scatology thread but wanted to put it out front (for now) for 2 reasons. (1) A woman on American currency is historic and (2) this should be fun for Fathers Day Weekend. (Don't forget to check out the Fathers Day C&D thread on the outdoor board).

In honor of this historic moment in history I thought we could discuss what woman we would like to see on the $100 bill. Go!

I'll get this thing started with a patriotic choice

My 2nd choice would be Jennifer Lawerence. Merica

Hahaha. The "Call Me Catelyn" bill. Id just be worried about any confusion. Like a customer handing me the Jenner $10 and telling me it's actually a $100 b/c they identify with having more money

What no love for the women who have already graced our currency in the past? Martha Washington, Susan B Anthony, Sacagawea, although that Anthony swim suit edition would make most have a hard time looking at much less touch the money.

They're all on coins right? This is the first on paper money I thought

Actually if I'm not mistaken Martha Washington was on the silver dollar certificate which was considered paper currency. I might be wrong but that's my recollection

Well you're right but I haven't ever seen one and I handle cash everyday. What's that from, the early 1900s lol?

Well, it probably should be a woman who has played a large part in shaping American culture. Oh well, in that case, guess it will have to be Kim Kardashian.

Lol. Actually the 1800's. Pocahontas was on another note ($20??) but it wasn't a traditional portrait type of photo. I think maybe Helen Keller was also on a dollar coin once as well.

I think I should be more diverse and in that spirit Taraj P Henson absolutely deserves some discussion. Ever since Baby Boy...

Actually, Martha appeared on the 1886 silver certificate and the 1896 silver certificate ( with hubby George). Miss Liberty has appeared on numerous notes in the 19th century. In the modern era of small currency, no woman has ever been showcased. But paper currency really didn't circulate as legal tender until the civil war as the two sides needed a way to finance the war since gold & silver coins were being hoarded by the public, thus the need for paper money.

Hey, Mutt, its only been a 119 years, what's the rush???? Instead of a woman I vote for an artist rendering of a sandwich.
