View Full Version : So Freezus makes Epps the sacrificial lamb I see

To try and send a message to the bigger names. Wonder what it does to team dynamics seeing some get away with it yet Epps gets the heave ho?

Add another to the list. Wasn't Epps a 4 star?

It's honestly amazing how many players they lose. I don't know how they plan for the future in recruiting when they have no clue what their team will look like at that time.

Guess I missed it too. Isn't Epps the guy that showed out in the MS-AL all-star game a couple of years ago?

Pot and driving with a suspended license back in August 2014 is the only thing I see on him unless he was kicked off the team and it's not public yet.

Yeah pot & no license & then redshirted, so no experience, etc. Here is a link to an article by DJ Journal. http://insideolemisssports.com/2015/06/17/report-epps-dismissed/

But Freeze is too busy tryin to be folks friend & savior by takin them on trips to Haiti as a form of discipline instead of cutting the toxicity from his team. He seems to overlook character which is weird to me since he professes to be a Christian. You'd think he'd pay more attn to character than he does. He's more interested in stars, nvm off-the-field antics. Yes I know that alot of players smoke pot. I'm not naive to that. But some of his players have more issues than a Sports Illustrated subscription.

Yeah pot & no license & then redshirted, so no experience. But Freeze is too busy tryin to be folks friend & savior. He needed to cut toxicity from his team awhile back with all the off the field antics his players get into in the offseason. A trip to Haiti can only do so much.

Yea, apparently how much worth you are to the team determines how much time Freezus can devote to your "redemption".

We're all looking at this wrong. He's not kicked off the team. They're just sending him to JUCO so they can sign him again and get the 4* recruiting bump in another class.

At Ole Miss, he'd have to have failed a few for sure. Unless they recently changed their policies, they are in the bottom 2 of the SEC for most lenient.

That, or they don't feel he can contribute much anymore.

On a side note I noticed that Bama just took two transferrs. Why in the hell does Bama have to do that? I think we are starting to see the end of the Saban era comming.

Coach34

Nahhhh- you're just seeing Bammer trying to plug some holes that need fixing. Too much overall talent and they are coached too well to just drop off. I do think they have a shot at 3 losses this year- maybe a 4th.

Bobby Bowden was the king of professing how religious he is and overlooking players character problems at "Free Shoes U." It worked for him.

This opens the door to the Grayson Gunter offer. Word I got was Grayson was initially offered a gray shirt from ole miss which didn't sit well. Now they have a spot. Wonder how Freeze will spin this to the ole miss football legacy family when State already offered him almost two weeks ago.

I don't know where they might come from, but I'd say 8-9 teams on their schedule could beat them on any given Saturday. Tenn and Uga will be the toughest 2 teams in the east and bama draws both of them, then the whole west, and probably Wisconsin (not sure what all they lost outside of Gordon, but they always have a RB).

No he was never committed to us & we didn't offer til late Dec/early Jan. He was committed to OM for a long time then decommitted but never took any other visits & recommitted a short time later.

That's right. I just remember some stink about him in recruiting and it was him flipping from the Rebels to the Rebels. On a side note, you may have a pot problem if you fail too many drug tests and lose your fully paid college education to have a better chance to make something out of yourself. Some folks don't have sense to get in out of the rain. Just STOOPID

Two things Ole Miss loves are legacies and Madison Central football players.

If he's like your typical run of the mill Ole Miss legacy, he will gladly take their offer and then walk-on for the other four years while some Ole Miss booster pays for his education like Matt Luke.

I have a feeling there's more to this than 3-4 failed drug tests. There are photos out there of Kimdichee hitting a bong with little or no ramifications. At Bear University, you have always been able to live the big life while remaining in good standing.

No telling what he did. But I have serious doubts that it's all about smoking dope and failing a drug test.

With the events today with the guy from Lamar and the fact that Ole Miss has commitments from two other TE's in their class I could see how things shake out where we end up with him as the process continues.

That said, long way to go with this obviously and it still wouldn't shock me to see Ole Miss make a full court press to try to keep him away from us. Depth chart logic is not exactly their strong suit and I can not honestly remember the last Ole Miss legacy that played football at MSU.

What I find the hardest to take is the fact that this has not made the headlines. You look at the state and national media outlets, OM has tons of coverage of their "Stacked" team. Also, how a big a threat they are for the SEC and National chase. But, not one has reported this news. Had to find out here about it. However, if we have an issue, it is front page news for ESPN, BR, Yahoo Sports, CBS Sports, and CL. Ole Piss is the darlings of the media, and every Momma needs to send their son to the church of the Rev Freezus.
