Flip Flop Wars

Today I went to academy flip flop shopping. Nothing more summer and outdoor than that. I tried on Columbias, Sperries, Magellan, Crocs, and 2 other brands. There were some Columbia PFGs I really wanted that had a redfish on them. Only one problem: they weren't comfortable on my feet. After 10 pairs were tried on I ended up getting croc flip flops. Most comfort by far with a pair of Magellans coming in second. The redfish Columbia's thong was too far toward the middle of the sandal making for a weird fit. I'm officially at the age where comfort trumps fashion and I'm ok with it.

I have had a pair of those crocs for over three years and just busted them. They held up well to my abuse, and I will get another pair.

I have 2 pair of Reef Mick Fannings. They're comfortable....but who cares, because it has a bottle opener on the sole:

I tried on some Reefs today also. The bottle opener on the bottom is a great idea

Big fan of Reef. Have a pair pushing 5 years old. Replaced a blown out flip flop, after which I stepped on a pop top, cut my heel and had to cruise on back home...
