This guy gets it. And I do think that they would get plenty of playing time. We don't know who are first baseman or third baseman is at this point, and Holland didn't impress me at all. Nothing more needs to be said about the pitching staff than what has already been said. The DH spot is up for grabs.

Cohen talked about increasing power in terms of hitting and also power arms- and that's what the freshmen will potentially give us if we get them all.

And as I said earlier, there is plenty of precedent of freshmen starting- CT, Gridley this past year, Gavin Collins, Holder, Stratton, etc.

Yes, just consider Marrero and Pickett gone and you will save yourself some mental grief after the draft. May lose others as well but I don't get the feeling either of those 2 have any real intentions of going to college.

I anticipate going into next baseball season as exciting as we are about going into this basketball season AS FAR AS determining who the pieces will be and where they will fit. This fall should be fun.

Now let's cross our fingers and hope we can still feel this way in a couple of days.

It seems to me that some of the Pickett stuff is carryover from when it looked like he was locked into the first 2 rounds. He's not locked into the first 10 at this point I don't believe. We will see on Marrero...
