Weekend Cooking and Drinking Thread

I'm up early at the Toyota dealership so I thought I'd get it rolling. Pretty sure I'm grilling on Saturday. I'm thinking about doing some bass fishing from the yak as well...

Doing crawfish for about the 20th weekend in a row. Went snapper fishing Monday and Tuesday and have a ton of snapper now plus some king and ling so I imagine i'll be cooking that as well. Going one more time on Sunday, hope to get a couple more ling.

Man I'm crazy jealous of the snapper. We have a bay boat so everything has to line up perfect for us the run offshore and with a 10-day season and living 3 hours from the water the odds are heavily stacked against us

My Dad has had the boat out all week with my 2 kids and my neice and nephew, and they have been slaying whiting while I have been toiling away in the office. We are having a fish fry tomorrow night. I may kick in some crawfish for fun.

I did my weekend fish fry last night. Speckled trout, french fries and some fine Jai Alais

Cut some spare ribs into St. Louis style and did a hot and fast smoke on the kettle.

Cool note for tonight - Dansby Sawnson's grandmother was my kindergarten teacher in Marietta. He is also a fellow Jackie Smallwood Award (team leadership) winner for the Marietta High Baseball program. It is great seeing a Blue Devil doing well!

Damn that is a hog! Hard to tell, how much did it weigh?

I'm putting him at 5.5. 5.75 tops. When I caught him I was thinking 6 but i was excited. There is a 6.75 on the wall at my parents house and mine was a little smaller.
