They should be embarrassed. Ashamed. But, they won't be. They are OM.

Take away our game and they were outscored 72-3 in 2 of their last 3 games.

I know we shit the bed, but what people have forgotten is that halfway through the 3rd qtr we were up 10-7. Then the defense started blocking instead of tackling.

OM gained exactly 50% of their yardage on 5 plays. 266 yards on 5 plays; 266 yards on the other 57 plays.

Part of the game I know; we had our chances and didn't make them; they won; congrats; go to hell; we'll see you in 'Vegas in Nov.

But..but the sports tabloids have them like #3 in the west. Surely, the Peach bowl was just an anomaly.

We were their Super Bowl. Outside of the EB, they were hot garbage by the end of the season. I could see OM anywhere from 7-6 to 9-4, with 9-4 being the best case scenario, tbh. They will almost assuredly lose to Bama, Auburn, and State. They'll drop another one somewhere along the way. Wouldn't shock me to see UPig get the best of them again this season as well.

They'll pull a W over LSU in Oxford, so they'll have something to hang their hat on by the end of the season. But it won't ease the sting of getting an invite to the BHam bowl after getting run out of DWS this Nov.

Damn, this just pisses me off more that we didn't beat them as we should've last year. Not only would our season have likely included a trip to the playoffs, but we could've cast a dark shadow over theirs, with 3 straight losses to end the season.

They should get preseason top 10 rings and a flag for the stadium.

This is just absolutely pathetic. I can't even admit that this surprises me because in all honesty, it does not. Nothing ceases to amaze me with that bunch over there. You literally can't make the shyt up.

Freeze did this so that he couldn't be called a liar by that 2013 crootin class since he told them..."If you all come to Ole Miss, I, Freezus, promise that you will leave with a ring".

The EB should definitely be on Thanksgiving. It takes care of the issue where players drive home 2 days prior to gameday.

Was this really something they did on their own, or was it the Peach Bowl committee?

Mississippi was not a great team the last half of the season. There is no excuse for us leaving Oxford last year without a win, especially with the playoffs on the line.

Couple that with our baseball team going 0 fer against them and our basketball team being swept by them, then by all means let's keep laughing at them. Because they are the ones that look like jackasses.******************

Wish that game had five more minutes. We had all the momentum. Just couldn't overcome spotting them 19.

There was plenty of time and opportunity. Sims just refused to give us back the ball and our defense couldn't man up and take it from them

Yep- those 3 critical 3rd down pick-ups when we cut it to 6 was a killer. Our D just couldnt get it done on that drive.

Not to mention the play calling on our part was atrocious. Dan did not call those last few minutes to win. If he would have, we might have had a better chance.

Obviously I want to win the EB, but had we won and inevitably gotten left out, that would have been a real hard pill to swallow. We probably would have been sent to the same bowl, regardless win or lose.

Most likely. Still though we'd have the golden egg, OM wouldve gone to much lesser bowl, and when's the last time we won 11 regular season games?

2010 team says, "F that shit!" '98, '96 & '94 teams slow-clap 2010.

Since the Egg Bowl returned to the campuses, we are 4-8 at Oxford. 1 of those 4 losses was by 7, the other by 3. During one of the darkest times in the history of our football program, combined with one of the brightest for them since Vaught retired, we went 9-3 at home versus their 8-4.

As fans, we should never again concede losses to them in Oxford.

What's the old defensive addage ... gotta wrap up when your tackling your man, WRAP UP! DAMN IT! ...

Would have put the EB in a whole 'nother kettle as well, Walton had been wrapped up instead of tackling the ball

Yep, our tackling in the 4th quarter of the Bama game and second half of the OM game, was just awful. Was the difference in a Playoff appearance. We were one stop from possibly beating Bama on multiple occasions late, and just didn't wrap up. Sims deserves credit, but our D let us down at the end of that game, and we clearly had the talent. Not to mention we should have been well rested with the 1A/1B garbage. Glad we used that advantage***

If 1a/1b has any benefit, it will be seen this year. If we're an 8-4 team this year, then the 1b decision last year was a colossal mistake. Using 1b last season seems like we were banking on this year being our chance at the sec title so we got guys experience. I personally think we f'd up. Last year was our shot and we blew it playing for the future. Once we hit #1, the 1b idea should've been culled. If we scraped 1b at that point, we wouldve had a month to build up starters' endurance before bama game.
