Auburn vs. Louisville in Atlanta Sept. 5 & Georgia at Vandy Sept. 12 both CBS at 3:30 p.m.

Brett McMurphy just tweeted out CBS has selected Georgia @ Vandy on Sept 12th to be played at 3:30.

I'm not really sure what the though process was behind that was, nonetheless, it would seem that either makes a LSU @ MSU an 11:00 game, which would be hard to imagine, or a nigh game on ESPN.

AmIright?

Gotta be a night game. As physical as that game will be- playing at 11am you would have mf'ers falling out before the end of the 3rd Q in early Sept

1) Thank God. I would never complain if we were never on CBS again

2) Isn't there a contract about how often you must be on CBS -- once every 18 months or something? Maybe they just want to get Vandy out of the way before anything significant happens in the season

That would be my guess. Get it done before things get interesting.

You cannot be on CBS more than 3 times in a season.

ETA: It's 5 and I'm an idiot

It is 5. Or at least was last year.

This will be the first year cbs will do 230 games the first two weeks of the season. I'm not sure how that is going to conflict with cbs's us open coverage, but the games for the first two weeks are a result of a sub licensing agreement with espn.

So we can assume ESPN had first pick on the games those two weeks.

We don't run the risk of getting the SEC Network screw job like we got for the A&M game last year do we? 11:30 am kickoff on SECN or whatever it was? Would love for the LSU game to be at night

Not only the first two but the following CBS games have been penciled in per SECSports.com:

Saturday, Sept. 5 3:30 PM LOUISVILLE vs. AUBURN Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game)
Saturday, Sept. 12 3:30 PM GEORGIA at VANDERBILT
Saturday, Sept. 19 3:30 PM AUBURN at LSU
Saturday, Sept. 26 3:30 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK
Saturday, Oct. 3 3:30 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK
Saturday, Oct. 10 3:30 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK
Saturday, Oct. 17 3:30 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK
Saturday, Oct. 24 3:30 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK
Saturday, Oct. 31 3:30 PM FLORIDA vs. GEORGIA
Saturday, Nov. 7 3:30-7:00 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK #1
Saturday, Nov. 7 8:00-11:00 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK#2
Saturday, Nov. 14 12:00 NOON SEC GAME OF THE WEEK #1
Saturday, Nov. 14 3:30 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK#2
Saturday, Nov. 21 3:30 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK
Friday, Nov. 27 2:30 PM MISSOURI at ARKANSAS
Saturday, Nov. 28 3:30 PM SEC GAME OF THE WEEK
Saturday, Dec. 5 4:00 PM SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

That leaves possibilities for us on CBS: at Auburn, at A&M, vs. Kentucky, vs. Alabama, at Arkansas, vs. Ole Miss (if its played on Saturday), and the SEC Championship.

ETA: The week we play Alabama, there is a doubleheader for a noon/3:30 kickoff... so basically theres very little chance that will be a night game which sucks. Unless ESPN gets first pick now?

If it isn't a night game, I'll be pissed. Going to be about 8 million degrees during the day the second week of September.

That's a good point and probably true.

Here's the conference sked for the day. I'm most worried about Oklahoma/TN. If they dump us for KY/SC or Vandy/Georgia, I'll be scratching my head.

If they somehow schedule the LSU game for 11:00 someone should kidnap the referees and return them about 6:00.

My guess is that OK vs TN will be the ABC night game and MSU vs LSU the ESPN night game. Either way, our game will be at nigh on ESPN, ESPN 2, or SEC Network.

OU at Tennessee can't be an ABC night game due to CBS/ESPN having all rights for home sec games.

I think your team can only be on CBS so many times in a two year period. I am thinking since the West was so good last season many of the teams in the west have used up a bunch of those days and CBS is saving hem.

Let's be real, as long as LSU is involved we will get a primetime night game -- even if we are the better team

Nvm. I saw on Clay Travis's twitter that they are Eastern Time, not Central.

With LSU coming off a loss (apparently a HUGE upset according to current media) it's sure gonna take some luster off that prime afternoon LSU-Auburn game.

ABC owns ESPN ... I wouldn't put it outside the realm of possibility
