I'm posting this in its own thread so it doesnt get missed:

Wilson's last 3 games on 2014:

Bama 8 catches-91 yards
Ole Missus- 8 catches-117 yards...1 TD
Ga Tech- 9 catches- 105 yards...2 TD's

Against 3 ranked teams in his last 3 games he played- Wilson had 25 catches for 313 yards and 3 TD's...tell me he isnt starting to figure out this WR gig at the end of his 3rd year playing football? That's not hype- that happened

That's a damn impressive showing to finish last season. #1 is about to go Beastmode in 2015.

What does Bear's 'penalty box' looking like? First series? 1/2 1st game? 1st game? Please don't post if more than that!!

and what's scary is, I have a feeling Fred "The Boss" Ross might even put up bigger numbers than De'Runnya this year. Think #1 could be getting some double coverage leaving lots of space for Ross and company.

Mullen keeps all that very close to the vest. I'd be shocked if he plays a down vs the Nasty Bunch

See- I'm starting to think the opposite. Ross running the middle of the field and making plays is gonna force the safeties to stay home- leaving #1 one on one.

What do you think Wilson's 40 time is?

This. Our wide array of WR skill-sets, and accompanying depth, this upcoming season are Going to make even the best defenses look vulnerable. They will have to choose what they want to defend, but cannot defend it all. It will be up to our OL to protect Dak, and Daks ability to take what's given in order for us to win the West. This is why o cannot fathom why everyone is picking us so low in our division, when we have a clear and distinct advantage over every other team, and it just so happens to be the most important position on the field.

Good enough to be 3rd round or higher

And then there's Donald gray. Gray might be in for a huge year

Two things:

1. I think we should suspend Bear for the 2nd half vs the Nasty Bunch

2. Who has more yards and TDs this year: Treadwell or Ross?

well- thats one of the guys that could benefit the most. Teams start rolling coverage when Bear and Ross are on the same side- that leaves Gray and Morrow one on one. Dont forget- Morrow will be this year's RoJo- and will start every game no matter what Gray does behind him

Ross, but I think it will be pretty close. I still say Paidwell is overrated but the NFL scouts disagree. We will see.

Low to mid 4.6's

If you look at his body position and ball skills on his opening touchdowns against LSU and Auburn last year, that's when you realize how little the forty means in the grand scheme of things.

Will all depend on how well and how quickly our O line gels. If we have an O line in top half of sec, our offense will be dominant.

40 time is not an issue for Derunnya. He gets separation with his body and is a huge target. As long as he isn't slow, it's not an issue.

Does anyone see us having a 1000 yard receiver this year? We've only ever had one, Mardye McDole in '78 for 1035. There's two sides to that coin.... we are so talented that the defense has to account for everyone and cant focus on one guy, or that we're so talented that our receivers equally split receptions and we have a multiple guys with a ton of yards but nobody eclipsing the 1000 yard mark. What ya say? I think this is by far the deepest we've ever been, but I have no idea where to begin thinking about how it will shake out

Seems hard to do with so many receivers and using running backs in the passing game so much these days.

I would think that Bear has a chance but most likely we'll have several 800 yard guys if I had to guess.

The defenses get to pick their poison.

MSU will always have a good OL top half of SEC. don't worry.

whomever plays the slot for Mullen has the best chance. Bump and Lewis in back to back years were darn close & Lewis probably gets there last year if not injured. The slot is the marque spot in Mullen's offense and now that all of the other pieces are there, I can see Ross doing it.

Agree with that. Love RoJo, great guy/hands/dawg, but he still struggled with the playbook even as a RS. If Morrow has to fill that senior role, I'm cool with ir. Upgrade in my opinion.

You better enjoy it because his career likely only has 12 more games left at MSU.

Put Chris jones in that group too. At least I hope. To have a great year, we need Chris jones to play like a 1st rounder this year

Defenses will likely sell out to the pass early in the season. Mullen has to remember to run the football and not get too cute as he is prone to doing. We need a RB to step up in order to keep the pressure off Dak. My bet is D. Lee.

If Jones plays to his potential- he will be a 1st rounder and the 1st chosen. The rest are all looking at late 1st thru 2nd round unless Dakota exceeds all expectations

I doubt it. I think teams will try to take away the run and make us one-dimensional.

Wilson wasn't the one that allowed Ole Missus and Ga Tech roll up over 500 yards of offense- all he did was try to help keep us in the game. Maybe if we had used him on defense some- Bama doesn't pick up those critical 3rd downs in the 4th Q when we had made it a 6 pt game.

All these talented recievers and none came from any corners in Miami. Who'da thunk that?
