As it stands now, WE are ranked on 247 at 19th for 2015. The Bear Sharts, with AK leading the way. Just climbed up 6 spots to claim 61st. No wonder we never hear the chest pounding of recruiting of their BB team, and how they will make a run for a National Title; like they do for football. But you could interpret that at 61, they will be in the field of 64. (Play in again or one and done). Using their thinking, At 19 we would be a 5 seed.

Just not hearing the roars anymore with BB.

If Howland keeps it up, this won't even be a rivalry anymore in a couple of seasons, and they'll fall back into their "we don't really care about basketball" mantra to save face.

I'm not sure what all this means, but the top 68 teams don't make the Tournament. If you're the 61st best team in the country, you definitely aren't in as an at-large and probably not in at all.

Once their football team falls flat on its face and basketball returns to normal along with their baseball team they'll be reduced to gloating about tennis again.

And that's only been true in women's tennis. We've had a slightly better men's program for the last 5+ years. The women have lost something like fifteen straight. Came very close this year, but the program is starting to trend upward. It'll happen soon.

The recent success (2 NCAA appearances out of 3 seasons) for Ole Miss was more due to the SEC being down than Kennedy becoming a better recruiter / coach.

And despite that success, AK still couldn't make their program more attract than ours, and we were literally at our shittiest.

Hard to brag about how great a shape our athletics are in when 2 of the 3 sports most fans actually care about just had historically terrible seasons this past school year.

True, but things are still relatively very good. There is reason to believe in each coach and think next year will be successful in all 3, which is rare for us.

Historically great year last year in football with our best player ever returning.
Bad year in basketball, which led to perhaps the best hire we've ever made and a great recruiting class.
And a baseball coach who has been on the verge of winning us a national title.

Pretty good place to be, all things considered.

Ghey! Ahhh...so THAT'S how you get around getting "muted" here on ED. Who knew! I wrote the '3 letter word' for describing the typical UM fan this a.m. & it got turned to ***. Ha!
