So Kendall Rogers was on H2H and said that this year is an anomaly for Cohen and the team. Figured this is good to hear from someone who watches baseball for a living.

While this MSU baseball team was never technically a 'good team', things really got exaggerated negatively down the stretch where basically everything snowballed with some really bad luck, bad calls, players quitting, players playing not to lose, etc. I have no doubt we will be better next year than this year but the SEC is a grind and it will still be quite the challenge for Cohen to get us back into regional play next year especially if we are having to depend on a good number of true freshmen to make the difference.

I think the biggest challenge will be finding leaders. The rising juniors didn't and haven't led before. The freshman class will have some outstanding leaders in it- but can we really count on freshmen to lead?

That is awesome!! It will be the team of guys like Gavin Collins and Reid Humphreys next year. It's time for them to step up and set the example for the freshmen coming in.

Part of me wonders if Cohen got a little too lax on the players with the success of 2013. It seems like we had more players who wanted to joke and goof off than play winning baseball.
