Isn't today the last day of signing period? Are we just gonna have what we have or are we adding anyone?

Last day to sign a NLI -- doesn't mean it's the last day he can commit/come to MSU. He would just sign a FAA if he decides to commit after today.

......Are we just gonna have what we have?............

I would say "what we have" is pretty damn good.

There is plenty of time left. And, best I can tell, our BB staff is working hard to add a big.

'Real' deadline is MSU's last day in the fall that a student can be 'officially' enrolled.

Sorry for the probably dumb question, but who is "he"?

I know about Holman, but he's in the class of 2016. The implication from engie was that we could add somebody that would be here in the fall (from the 2015 class).

He could be in the 2015 class. He was going to re-classify and go to prep school but might not now.

Holman is class of 2015 if he decides to come to MSU. "Juniors" don't get to take official visits. He graduates high school this month. The reason he's classified as c/o 2016 is because he's basically agreed to the basketball equivalent of a greyshirt at the opportunity to go to his lifelong favorite team Louisville, which would send him to prep school for a year and then potentially sign with them afterwards. Seems he's having second thoughts about taking that path and rightly so, since there is no guarantees in basketball, and Louisville would be foolish to offer him one.

More schools have gotten on Holman for 2015 since it looks like he's open to signing. Texas & South Carolina are 2 schools I know are trying to get him in to visit. Thing with Texas is they're going all in for Noah Dickerson & he has to visit & decide before they would take Holman. That is why he isn't signing now. He's still weighing his options on what he wants to do.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an "FAA" in this context?

Update: Paul said Holman is scheduled to visit Texas in a couple weeks. Something to watch on that is that Texas's main priority right now is Noah Dickerson. Dickerson is visiting Texas in the next week or week & a half. If he goes there then it's a no brainer that Holman comes to MSU.
Also he said we were looking at bringing in a foreign center that should be here the 2nd summer term.
