From Coach Schaefer(sp).. a native Houstonian by the way
Vivians tore her fingernail off in their final NCAA tourney game. He would draw up a play for her and she would shake her head NO...she was in a lot of pain. And Coach Vic apologized for his outburst against the officiating. Said he had some history with them and he had to stand up for his team.
Told me he just came back from A&M and you should see the stadium they are upgrading. Massive. Vic was an Aggie and his dad was an Aggie by the way. Also told us his cousin was the actual sheriff played by Burt Reynolds in the BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS.
From Coach Howland:
Sword probably came back too early from his late fall(?)surgery. But he wanted to help the team and come back. Had to have some additional cleanup surgery after the season...he should be fine and back practicing by July.
Daniels had an athletic hernia ( I believe he called it) and had surgery yesterday morning at a specialist up in Philadelphia that MSU uses. a specialist MSU is high on. And Daniels should be good to go in about 6 weeks.

He is impressed by the 6'7" 235 lb center Schaefer just signed out of Brenham Tx....he said he could use her rushing the quarterback...hard to find that kind of size!
