1st Asschaps puts us 7th in the SEC in his power rankings- now this. People are waking up on us

We finished 11th. We return the best QB in the SEC. I don't see how we fall way back to 25th.

It's because your average person looks at "starters returning". They see that we have the fewest in the SEC and say "well there is no way Miss State can replace all that".

What at they don't realize is how many people we played last year- and that being the "starter" at certain positions was meaningless. We return 5 of our top 7 tacklers, 6 of our top 7 WR's, 3 offensive linemen that have started SEC football games, and much more.

True but by that logic OM shouldn't be ranked that high either. Arkansas & TCU were way worst than our games vs OM & GT.

I also think the press is cutting Ole Miss some slack for their two bad losses at the end of the season because they had a couple of significant injuries.
