Is it not a requirement that you have to be above .500 in conference to make a Regional? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought so.

These announcers of the South Carolina game act like they still have an excellent shot bc "they're South Carolina", but they're about to fall to 10-14, and play LSU & A&M in their last 2 series. Carolina is done if you have to be .500 or better in conference.

No. Just have to be above .500 overall.

You are correct.

As for us, I hate to have this attitude but the best thing we can do is just play our last six games as hard as we can and hope for the best with the expectation that we are not likely going to make it.

Yes, the .500 overall record requirement is just for at-large bids.

In fact we made 5 regionals during Polk II despite only having a winning SEC record twice. We also were 14-16 SEC in Cohen's third year, when we were 6 outs from Omaha and ran out of gas in Gainesville.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say that so harshly. This thread did change though to possibly us making the SEC Tourney. I just don't see it. It would just make this season better if we beat TSUN next week

You think there's no way we make Hoover? You realize that if the season ended today, we'd make it, and the two teams behind us, along with the team tied with us, are in freefall?

We may suck, but we've been consistent all year. We aren't going to finish 0-6 or 1-5, but Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama probably all will.
