OT: golf carts at home games this fall

What are the rules concerning the use of passenger carts on campus during tailgating/games? Our tailgate group is about to get a great deal bigger, and are wondering about the rules for this issue ? Any of you use one those weekends? Can it stay at the tailgate? Are there times you cannot have one? Etc....

Yes, you can use golf carts on Gameday. The rules say they must be street legal: Lights, turn signals, brake lights. Golf Cart parking is designated on the Gameday maps. The one I use is located at the SouthEast entrance next to the Campus Police..I think Hailstate has the info on golf cart use during home games.

Also, you have to drive it like a car. No sidewalks or grass driving. We use ours to ferry people from the far parking lots. Our problem is when they close the roads prior to the game, it can be difficult to get back to our tailgate area. The rent-a-cops can be a pain to deal with.
