who would you put on the Mt. Rushmore of MSU baseball. I'd have to go with:

Polk, Clark, Palmeiro and Brantley. Certainly there are others that would deserve consideration but those would be my three.

Renfroe is in contention.

Can you imagine Renfroe with aluminum in college?

What's sad is Ross Mitchell would've had a very strong claim coming into this year. I really hate what the new ball did to him his senior year

Y'all are forgetting at least two of the most obvious candidates: Eric Dubose and Paul Maholm.

Renfroe

I know we are having a tough year this year, but John Cohen has both played for us and lead us to a National Championship appearance. That has to be enough for consideration.

year. Before that, he was very average. Sure he was first round pick but so were several others. I just can't see putting him on the MT. Rushmore of MSU baseball.

would be in contention for one of the top 4. NONE!

Renfroe was a great player for a year, but he wouldn't be in the top 10. Need a all American year and more than a year to qualify. Especially considering we have multiples of those. Hard to argue w the op as far as the 4 that should go up there as of today. Malholm, dubose, rea, young, raffo would be some in contention but I like the 4 others better. Brantley, Clark and palmeiro are obvious. Only one spot left.

Gregory would have to be on there- 4 SEC titles- 4 NCAA's, and a WS appearance

State had a winning beisball program before Polk stepped on campus. Polk just took it up another level and brought crowds

Or is he too known for Delta State now? He was our first successful big league player right? I mean the man still holds several major league records.

If you add renfroe then you should also add Stratton. One big year.

I also think J Rea deserves more mention.

Renfroe isn't top 10- not by a longshot. Isn't Richard Lee our all-time hits leader? Someone like that would be twice as deserving

Jeffrey rea all time hits leader I believe. But Richard lee would be on there before renfroe for me.

Yea I know. He shouldn't be in the convo. 25 names should be ahead of him.

Polk
Palmeiro
Clark
Renfroe

Renfroe only had 1 good year but it was absolutely fantastic. Adam Frazier did more over his career. Renfroe basically had a nonexistent freshman year, ok sophmore year, and a great junior year.

He held the NCAA record for HR's in a season at one point and is tied with Palmeiro for HR's in a season at 29.............I mean this guy used to launch them when he hit them too........A lot of the posters here are obviously younger guys who don't have a lot of MSU baseball history............
