Rebel Red and Blue graced the Bo show this morning to throw out that fact. He also falsely claimed that they have won 3 in a row over Florida.

Of the 12-10-1 domination of the University of Florida, the mighty Rebs beat Spurrier exactly ZERO times. They beat the Zooker twice, Irving Myers once. The wins in 1989 and 1973 are the only ones previously, then you have to go back to the era that all Ole Miss fans love: when gladiators donned the leather helmet.

I must admit though, Rebels, that 27-6 victory in Oxford in 1935 was a classic!

Bo said on his show "Google is a hell of a drug for Ole Miss fans".

I laughed myself off my chair.

If you say something enough, it becomes fact. Sort of like the national championships they claim. Never one a single one, but they now claim 3.

I'm never noticed ESPN say OM has a football natty.

I also like that ESPN refuses to credit Bama with all of the natties that Bammers claim they have.

Back then, unless you finished #1 in either the Coaches (or whatever it was called then), or preferably the AP, you don't have much claim on anything. Not to mention, I think pounding your chest on victors had during segregation are about as stupid as you can get. What's OM's record 'post integration'? That's a number I'd bet is quite illuminating.

Integration as in 1962 when Meridith went to UM or football integration after Vaught resigned and Ben Williams signed in 1972 as their first black player?

My bad; as in allowing black people to play football.

Their record is 247-233-4 for a .510 win percentage since 1972. (Someone can double check me to make sure I'm right)

OM finished 3rd in the SEC in 1959.

That's right but they beat #3 LSU 21-0 in the sugar bowl to avenge their earlier 7-3 loss to LSU in Baton Rouge. #5 Georgia was perfect in conference to win the title but lost to #16 So Car earlier in the season and that is why Georgia was ranked lower. Georgia also did not play either LSU or UM that season. LSU lost a close game to #11 Tenn in Knoxville. So although they did finish #3 in the SEC(LSU and UM were tied for second and LSU had the head to head win) after the Sugar Bowl UM was the highest ranked SEC school. Obviously Syracuse was the national champion at a perfect 11-0 capping off the season with a 23-14 win over #4 Texas in the Cotton Bowl.
