I just love State!!

A couple of other reasons:

1) When my daughter stared playing softball, I started understanding a lot more about the game and got a lot more into it. Daughters will have men engaging in activities and playing with toys they may not have otherwise!

2) A lot more games on TV in recent years helps promote the sport. I watched a WCWS years back and that was a milestone as well. This is why the SEC network is a huge deal for all members. Exposure to other sports is growing. Example: I may not give a flip about volleyball, but I'll watch MSU volleyball. For some it may grow their overall interest in the sport as it did with me for softball and NCAAW. See #3 below for how TV also helps.

3) Sometimes it's not complicated! Camera angle from behind pitcher to plate helps.

Watching Holly Ward pitch > watching Ross Mitchell pitch, and I don't mean the pitching itself!

Note if any of you girls are reading this: No offense meant by exclusion of other girls. We have a team top to bottom full of beautiful young ladies!

Same here. I have very athletic daughters. One became a stud VBer & Softball player. I've taken he out to local fields to hit her some balls at SS, then throw to her friend at 1B. Often, if there are guys around, they'll start watching when they hear that ball pop into the glove, etc, and you'll hear them say things like, "Damn!", and get some of their buddies to watch a bit.

Some of these young ladies can flat-out ball!

I'd watch our #1 women's golf team if they'd show it on SECN+. Men's team too. Maybe MSU can be pioneers in this with our move to Old Waverly. Doubt it'll happen but it'd be cool to watch the SEC tournament with 14 teams playing a golf tournament.

If you saw Smith batting this weekend, you would realize how desperate we are for players. He did have two hits this weekend but one was with infield pulled in and the other was strictly luck. The lack of pop in our bats is obvious. The difference between A&M and us this weekend was the long ball, plain and simple. HR on Friday night won the game and two grand slams today won the game. We have to get three hits in a inning to score and the other team gets the same amount with one swing of the bat
