Considering the topic discussion around here. Michael Bauman wrote an article on the new ball effects on the game. HR's up 39%, K's up 10.5%, fielding pretty much the same, etc. Quoting his #4 effect: Bunts are down, but not enough. Through this point in the 2014 college teams executed 0.74 sac bunts per game and so far this year it has dropped to 0.66. This was the funny comment: "....but we still have a ways to go until coaches realize that they only get 27 outs a game, and maybe trading one of them to move a guy from first to second in the third inning, while taking the bat out of your cleanup hitter's hand, is a bad idea. Sorry if this is annoying."
