Howland reads all media reports about his team

One thing I found interesting in the piece from hail state blog following howlands first 24 hours on the job was howlands comment that he has everything written about his team brought to him and he reads it. Don't know if that's good or bad with kellenberger as a columnist (I kid, kinda) but interesting. I know James Franklin did the same thing at vandy. I would imagine a lot of coaches do this, but kinda refreshing to hear him admit it.

I think that's smart as it relates to the public's opinion of players, but it has to be tough to try to tune out any evaluations of the team as a whole or yourself as coach.
