Straight to Ale from Huntsville hit North Mississippi this week. They came out with Monkeynaut, Lily Flagg, Brother Joseph, and Sand Island Light. Pretty much something for everyone. Absolutely one of my favorite breweries and a damn good pick up by Barret at Better Brands Distributing. Next time you are in Tupelo, Starkville, West Point, or Oxford check em out.

This is probably my favorite brewery. Their IPA is malty and hoppy, the milk stout is like drinking chocolate milk, Laika their Imperial stout, tastes like chocolate covered ham, and Unobtanium, the old ale, is in my top 3 of beers I've ever tried. Just a solid ass brewery top to bottom.

Farley, which one is the IPA? It better be the MonkeyNaut. I am destined to love this beer.

You should do a beer thread every Friday...

I just tried them for the first time at the Halfway House the other night. I only got the Monkeynaut and the milk stout, both were great, especially Monkeynaut.

Got me that same glass fo' free, too.

Monkeynaut is the IPA. It's probably my favorite IPA. I drink the hell outta it. Bought it for the first time at Joe's today in Oxford. Release party tonight at the Blind Pig. Gonna be a few of us Bulldogs in there.

We need to set up a public alert system here so we'll all know when Yuengling and Dog Fish Head are available in MS.

That's a buzzer that will probably never go off Flab. DFH is just now heading back to RI and Tennessee while Yuengling was low enough to be here beforehand. Neither one has any interest in coming back. While I like them both, there are just as good if not better breweries in Georgia, Alabama and Florida that are more likely to show up before they do here. Green Flash will be here soon and they whip the piss outta both. Their West Coast IPA, Palate Wrecker and Double Stout are all world class.

I finally got to try DFH's 90 Minute in Chicago a few weeks ago, I absolutely loved it. Like you, I don't expect them to ever ship to MS, but I wish they would.
I've never really been impressed with Yuengling, personally.

I had something interesting in Key West at a crazy good dessert restaurant called "Better Than Sex". I had a hard root beer float. Vanilla bean ice cream with Sprecher "bootleg bourbon barrel" hard root beer. I had never before heard of such a thing

You don't need no DFH in MS... I'll keep it all here in Texas.
Had 3 very yummy beers on my lunch break all made here in texas.
Franconia Lager
Peticolas velvet Hammer (Red Ale)
Revolver Blood and Honey (Wheat made with blood orange zest)
simply yummy!

Flab, try the Yamazaki soon. Japan's climate is similar to Scotland so they can make really good scotch too. I haven't had the others yet, but the Yamazaki is similar to Macallan. The Y12 > than the M12 & M15 and is closer to the M18 than anything else I've tasted. It's about $50 instead of $150-$175 for M18.

Closest place to you is probably going to be Joe's in Oxford. The distributor who picked them up covers Oxford, Tupelo, West Point and Starkville.

I tried the blonde and thought it sucked. Will open Devil's Harvest today.
