is that whatever happens we can all be united behind the next hire. I hate it for Rick Ray because from what I can tell he is a genuinely nice guy, but the next coach after Stans was almost certain to fail. The fan base was never going to be united because a very significant % did not want Stans gone yet. Firing him when we did was very divisive. Now that's over and done with and we are one coach removed from that event. Again I hate it for Ray but I think pretty much everyone was on the same page with this. There is no way the next hire will please everyone but whoever it is it's time to unite and put MSU basketball back where it belongs in Mississippi first. Then it will be time to try to put it back where it was in the SEC. Then we can move on to better things.
