Fired up and baseball and hitting home runs don't go together. They just don't. Baseball is a one pitch at a time chess match. Playing w intensity is great, and sure the players have to care, but emotions such as fired up aren't necessary to be great. Actually fired up leads pitchers to mis locate and hitters to tense up, which slows their hands down. Sorry, not picking on you hildreth, just making a point

I agree with u Todd plus LSU recruits players with size, strength and speed. My son played summer ball with 5 current LSU players...watched them play Ole Miss tonite. LSU looks good getting off the bus and plays just as we'll. Very balanced team....offense, pitching and defense.
