These should be obvious but somehow I figure it won't be but....

1. Reynolds should not start any longer

2. Weekend guys should be Preston, Sexton, and Tatum

3. Fitts should NOT be the closer. ( I'd go with Daniel Brown)

4. Cody Brown has got to be an every day player for us

5. Vickerson is making a strong argument for a spot too

6. Spruill should start at 3rd

7. I would get Holland in the line up from time to time but not regularly right now, Spruill and gridley are just out performing him.

8. I would platoon Smith, Hump, and Vickerson in Left or Right

9. Swanarski should not play... period

10. Some of you won't like this, but I think Rooker should not be DH very often, I think right now he should just be used in PH spots.

* If I were making a lineup for a typical SEC Friday Night mine would likely be

1. Heck- SS
2. Gridley-2nd
3. Cody B- RF
4. Rea- 1B
5. Collins- C
6. Vickerson- DH
7. Spruill- 3B
8. Robson- CF
9. Smith- LF

P- Preston

Saturday...

1. Heck- SS
2. Gridley- 3B
3. Cody B- RF
4. Rea- 1B
5. Collins- DH
6. Vickerson- LF
7. Holland- 2nd
8. Robson- CF
9. Lovelady- C

P- Sexton

Sunday...
1. Heck- SS
2. Gridley- 2B
3. Cody B.- CF
4. Rea- 1B
5. Collins- C
6. Hump- LF
7. Vickerson- DH
8. Spruill- 3B
9. Smith- RF

P- Tatum

*** I could see switching Tatum and Brown...

Why all the Preston brown hate? Here's Preston and tatum's stat lines...

Preston -- 6.1 ip, 5 h, 3 bb, 1 er, 5 k

Tatum -- 4.0 ip, 7 h, 1 bb, 2 er, 1 k

There is no Preston Brown hate. I've stated many times that I appreciate everything that he has done and that he is a good player. But he is not your ideal SEC ace- and if we have people that can outperform him and can strike out more guys, then they should be the ace.

They faced same team and Preston struck out 5x as many as Tatum.

This is the lineup:

1. Heck - SS
2. Gridley - 2B
3. Collins - C
4. Smith - RF
5. Rea - 1B
6. Rooker/Hump - DH (platoon)
7. Brown - CF/LF
8. Spruill - 3B
9. Vickerson/Robson - LF/CF (platoon)

Fri - Tatum
Sat - Sexton
Sun - Preston

You also have to keep working in Holland until he gets going, but sitting a couple of games for a mental breather is in order first. Once he gets going, put him at 3B or shift Gridley to 3B and put Holland back at 2B.
