What ever happened with his wife's law suit? I never heard about how that came out. The MSU pep band playing the tune to the Viva Viagra commercial at the first game at the Hump after that was priceless! Kennedy would have been unemployed at EVERY other NCAA school after that except UM. That he is still there is a bigger embarrassment than anything that happened to us while Stans was the coach here. OM basketball was irrelevant during our last coaches tenure. His departure opened the door for them to join the upper half of SEC basketball programs and routinely push for ncaa tourney bids. Whoever is to blame for what occurred to our program, we allowed ourselves to self destruct and gave them the opportunity to become somewhat relevant. Now they have new facilities on the way and a consistent product on the court. We are going to have to work much harder to regain what was once ours. It did not have to be this way.

It is truly amazing that people still respond to his basketball posts. The board has sucked for the majority of the past couple of weeks because of this bullshit, and I don't know whether to blame Coach for baiting all of these idiots or to blame the morons that actually believe that they can present a convincing enough argument to get Coach to agree that Stansbury should still be here.

Nah. Stans lost his job because of lack of control over the team. Players didn't respect him and such. Nothing C34 said or did played a role in that.

C34 was jealous of Stans because Stans was an actual coach getting paid a million dollars a year to do it. C34 is a failed academy "coach" that has never had any true recognition as a real coach. I mean ... how shitty do you have to be if you can't "coach" prep school ball? His ranting and raving against Stans was just jealousy, but Stans could have kept his job if he had better leadership skills. Stans didn't have the leadership skills and he lost his job. Plain and simple.

Yep, Polk II allowed an irrelevant OM baseball team to gain success, and now a rudderless basketball program has allowed their basketball team to do the same. Good job....***

You're giving a little too much credit to message boards. Lots of die hard, very influential fans don't even read message boards. There were complaints about Stansbury and perceived weaknesses in his x's and o's before his good teams, and even during them, that had nothing to do with the internet. Basically the only time I can remember that people didn't complain about Stansbury's x's and o's and in game coaching was during the Road dogs run through the SEC, and even then those complaints came back quickly after the NCAAs.

What allowed complaints to gain steam was not that people on message boards talked about it, but that players during interviews talked about it.
