Road Conditions

This is a scene playing out all across north and central MS this morning I know. Roads are becoming ice covered very quickly. Highway 82 east of Starkville is 5 sleet pellets away from being a skating rink. Saw numerous cars off the road on my drive in to work this morning. Not looking forward to the drive home. If you have to be out today leave early and drive carefully. This is not the fun snow we had last week.

I have a student at MSU ready to come home for Spring Break! What is the status on roads between Starkville and Jackson??

Roads in Starkville are fine. I don't know about anywhere else...

How is 82 between Starkville and Winona?

The sun has been out most of the afternoon and everywhere is probably fine. Would be careful in shady spots, bridges and overpasses though
