Headin to Baton Rouge tomorrow on business, any recommendations for good lunch or even early dinner restaurants would be much appreciated, my first time traveling down there, don't know anything about the city. TIA

Chimes East or Dempseys for fried seafood (Dempseys is my vote). Digiulio brothers for Italian. Masons Grill for American/family. Ruffino's for fine dining. Everybody has their faves, these are mine. Town sux but the food is a small consolation.

Been about 5 years since I've been there. At the time Walk On's was good. Actually owned by a couple of guys that were walk on's on the LSU basketball team.

If you want to take a short ride, I recommend this place

Sammy's Grill
20335 Old Scenic Hwy, Zachary, LA 70791
(225) 654-5355

I eat there every time I'm in the area... good food, reasonably priced, nice scenery

There's a Sammys in the middle of Baton Rouge too. And I was scratching my head on the Ralph and Kacoos rec, as well.
