Hunter Stovall and Cole Gordon (both MSU signees/commits) along with Pelham (AL) HS play at Germantown HS in Madison on Thursday this week.

Just thought I would pass it along


Edited to add apparently, they are playing in the Mid Mississippi Classic at NWR beginning on Thursday against Germantown, then against Hillcrest and NWR

Todd what is your opinion on the Hunter Richardson kid from Enterprise that won the long distance challenge? He's 6'2" 225 lbs in the 8th grade. Started as a 7th grader last year.

What is a long distance challenge? As in distance of homerun?

Yes. I believe he hit one 425 in the Rangers' Stadium. Google him and a video will be there.

I think any player that is playing varsity baseball and is his size is going to be a good prospect in general. You have to watch and see if he is just more mature physically and just monitor how he does. I think he will be a D-I guy though.

I think it's the same home run derby showcase that Bryce Harper broke out in.

The game Thursday is actually canceled but here is the rest of the schedule.

Friday vs Hillcrest at NW Rankin HS @12:00
Friday vs NW Rankin at NW Rankin HS @ 5:00pm
Saturday vs UMS Wright at NW Rankin HS @ 9:00am
Saturday vs South Panola at Germantown HS @ 2:00pm
