We've faced 3 tough teams in a row that were just better than us. We now have a stretch of at USCe, at vandy, and mizzou. These are games that we should we match up in. I wanna see ray pull these out.

14-19 record at the end of the year. We're just setting everyone up for our killer NIT run next year. Hot damn I'm excited!

We're not winning at USCe or Vandy. Vandy will beat us by 10-15. We best beat Missouri.

Not sure why you chalk those up as losses before we play. We've beat a team on the road (tenn) that's just as good as either of those teams

Got to beat 2 of the 3. Should sweep. 1 of 3 or less and I'll be reevaluating my thoughts along with everyone else that has tentatively supported Ray.

Oh I don't know why he'd think that. Probably because we lost to FBC of Jackson, Christ United Methodist, and South Carolina Transit Department earlier in the year to go along with our inability to shoot, dribble, or run inbounds plays. But I like your sobering optimism 7, lets instead focus on the 1 game where we shot 70% because that's definitely not an anomaly.

We've won more sec games than all of our remaining opponents except vandy (same number) and we beat them head-to-head already. Definetely a pipe dream to think we can win these 3 games*

I said 1-5 at best before we started this stretch and I'm sticking to it. Ray just isn't a good coach.

We'll beat Mizzou. Maybe. 13-18 final record. Disgraceful

Finishing 13-18 instead of 14-17 is where you draw the line?

if we drop both games at S Carolina and Vandy that would be 5 losses in a row and 7 of our last 8. I thought Ray had done enough after the Tennessee win to earn another year but finishing 6-12 and under .500 for the 3rd straight year isn't going to get a lot of people in your corner to return

Late season bad losses is where I draw the line... We should be better than each of the next 3.

Until we actually fail to do it, I think we finish 16-17

You realize you can end it anytime you like, right?

I know this season's going nowhere, but I'm interested in the games bc of guys like Houston and black. I wanna see them continue to get better. They both did some good things last night that give me hope for next season

This all day.

Our standard for coaching quality stands at 14-17 and no chance at postseason. It is an improvement from 10-22 and 14-19. I think. Hell, give the man a raise while we're at it - for his recruiting.

Maybe we will. Maybe that will be your breaking point to send you to college station for good.

No one's said theyre happy with this. Why do you continue to act like we're pleased?

It doesn't matter how bad Vandy is they are ALWAYS hard to beat at Memorial coliseum, South Carolina has won some big games at home as well. I think we can win 2 but going 3-0 is a very tall order especially considering our lack of shooting in recent games.

Engie :I got a new stat for you ,it is called MV ,Moral Victories is if we are within 6 points or less this is Ray SEC Reg. Season Record last 3 years with MV added Year 1 it would be 4 12 2 Year 2 3 13 2 This year as of now 5 4 6 . Nice is it not ,but me being funny this does show we are not getting killed by 40 plus. But this being said the only real stat is winning and losing ,Ray needs to start thinking along those lines or tied winning to the income he earns ,that might perk him up huh.

Well said goat. Bottom line is that we HAVE to win some of these close games against good teams.

In all seriousness, we have a good shot at South Carolina. They are a worse shooting team than we are, but they get second chances and create turnovers on D. If we can limit turnovers and rebound, we win that one.

Vanderbilt should beat us thoroughly just because they shoot the ball so well. We beat them at home with pressure, but they have recovered from a really shitty January and they continue to shoot well. They also play good to great defense inside the arch, which is our only weapon at this point. Being on the road, I don't see us pulling this one out, but we might be able to luck or pressure them into a bad shooting night.

Missouri should just shut it down for the year. The wheels came off this one 20 miles back.

Sword should be able to drive at will on vandy' guards. If he can get the ball over jones, he'll score a good bit

msstate7 you should be thank for you support of MSU basketball .With this being said we should win these last 3 games this could define weather Ray should stay or go. Simple he got to pull out victories as I pointed out we could easily have 5 or 6 more victories at this point . If we blow these last chances on victoires and have to play first day ,I will become to Ray like Coach is to Stansbury enough is enough produce ...
And if we win th both, we'll close the season 8-10 and on a 3-game winning streak

And 12-39 = 23.5 win %. No Basketball coach in the history of MSU has finished with a win percentage that low. None ever.

Pretty damn awful that he can go 1-2 in these final three games and actually INCREASE his winning %. Good lawrd that's some kind of terrible.

Dawg: He is really 14 and 41 if you count Tour. games which is 25.45% .If he goes 1 and 2 and 1 and 1 in tour. it would give him 16 and 45 which is 26.22% . Is that still a Good Lawrd.

At 13-41 Ray will only trail Stansbury by 61 losses. Stansbury went 122-102. We have added two games a year though.

You know Croom in 2006 lost to Tulane 32-29, almost beat UGA in Athens and barely lost 27-24 , at home to Kentucky 34-31, and also played Ole Miss close in Oxford losing a tight game
