On twitter, has Greg Pickett going 6th overall to White Sox.

I would wait until the MLB.com prospects list comes out before giving up. But if I had to project Pickett I would guess late first round or comp round. So, that guy has Pickett a little higher than what I would rate him.

I agree that they have him a little high. If by some miracle he does get to campus, he would be our most highly anticipated freshman in my memory.

I haven't seen any other mock that has him in the 1st round at all.

The mock drafts are relatively meaningless this time year, except for about the top 10 picks. After that, it's too fluid

I've seen two including the one MStatebaseball linked, but neither are mock drafts that I would put a ton of stock in. The other mock draft had Pickett going in the late 20's. I don't think they are way off though in this case even though I think him going 8 is a little high IMO.

Long way to go and we'll probably have a pretty good idea in April how things look.

Milk him for the PR.
Photoshop him into an MSU uniform.
Put up a billboard.
Claim him our top 10 pick.
Mingione can tweet out a photo that he was his position coach.
Use him to sell other prospects ... " We produced another first rounder."

I googled 2015 Mock Draft MLB and one of the sites had a listing of all the mock's. Must have been 25 of them. They listed the top ten picks. I'm not going to take any of them too seriously until May 1st, then scouts would have seen these kids play some more.
