My prediction of 50 plus hold up?
Is that with post season?

I can't see it holding up. Pitching gets tougher and the wind has blown out every game we have played thus far. Dudy noble still isn't homer friendly.

We also play in a few launching pads too later in the year

True... Very valid. But still have 30.5 more at dudy. It's a good over under number, I'll just take the under.

One thing in the 50 home run favor is Rooker emerging. I think he is our DH going forward. He gets a clutch pinch hit single yesterday and today he hits two moon shots.

the ball will fly better when the weather warms a bit, our 2 biggest power hitters are injured in Rea and Collins.. I'd say we are on pace to hit 50 plus easy.

The ball won't fly better than it has at dudy noble the first 6 games! It's been a gale! We might hit more than 50 but we won't have better "flying" conditions than we've had.

That ball that went out today would have been 30 feet short of the warning track on a normal day. The wind was blowing out around 25-30 mph

The wind has been helpful -- but the cold has hurt. Cold baseballs = dead baseballs. Cold air = dead air. Both of those factors flip into our favor later in the year along with the prevailing wind, although we've had a few outliers early this year...

I predicted us to hit about 25 in the preseason. Through six games, I'm glad to say that I'm probably going to be wrong. What has been even more encouraging to me is the amount of doubles we're hitting. We'll end up with about twice as many total XBHs this year than we had last year, IMO.

The first one maybe, but the second one was one of the hardest balls I have seen hit at the Dude in 20 years.

Who hit the 2nd one? We left for the basketball game to get out of the weather

Rooker again...
His first was obviously wind-aided. The second one was an absolute bomb in the rain...

These guys feed off each other. When Smith, Rea and Collins return, they know its a good lineup, they will be mashing it.
Gridley may be a DH too.
TAMU, Om, Kentucky are launch pads.

Warmer weather will help... But that will coincide with much much better pitching. Nonetheless it is encouraging and appears to have the college game returned more to actual baseball.

FSU but we're also giving up way too many for my comfort early in the year..........

We're going to hit a lot of HR this year.
We don't even have Rea, Collins, or Smith in the lineup right now. Or Cole Gordon, though I doubt we see him hit much, if at all, this year.
Heck, Holland, Robson, and Gridley won't hit many. But Humphreys, Collins, Rea, Rooker, and Smith have the potential to hit a ton.

Holland is closer to the second category than the first. He's going to hit 5+ this year. Still early to know about Gridley...

He may, but I don't think he has the same kind of power that Smith does. They could both be in sort of a middle category though, ahead of the singles guys and below the true power guys.

I would throw Cody Brown in there as well. Not power hitters but enough pop to hit some balls out
