quits using all of these goofy lineups. 12 runs a game just isn't going to cut it. #preachermatt83

I'll say I was really surprised that Britton played as little as he did. He just hasn't progressed enough as a hitter.

And Cohen has a good problem to have with Heck, Smith, and Robson making strong cases for the top of the lineup. I think it worked out nicely having Robson before Rea, though. It gave Rea a lot of opportunities to see some good pitches. Humphreys is going to have to strike out less to be able to hold on to the cleanup spot. Otherwise, you have to swap him and Rea.

I'm waiting to see the quality at-bat guys vs good pitching

Humphreys is hitting .353 and has 3 walks to go with 5 k's. That's not horrible after four games.

Now this I agree with 100%! Time will tell.

5 k's is a lot vs the quality of pitching we just faced. But k's are something we are going to have to deal with with hump. He's going to strike out a whole lot.

Humphreys hit in the 3-hole all weekend. He's going to have to struggle to move from there -- which actually only happened in the first 1.5 games. Cohen has talked about him being a streaky guy.

If he's hitting for power relatively consistently, K's are no problem IMO. I'm perfectly fine with him having a K for every RBI and 2 TB like he's averaging right now...
